Otago Regional Rippa Rugby Finals Festival 2022

Our skillful Kavanagh Rippa team was invited to compete in this year's Otago Regional Rippa Rugby Finals Festival.
What made it more exciting for our students is that the tournament was held inside the Forsyth Barr Stadium (the home of the Highlanders).
An outstanding day shown from all our Kavanagh students. The individual skills and talent displayed was great to see and more importantly the teamwork, effort and positivity between players was a joy to see.
We played three games in pool play. Lawrence, Tahuna and Arrowtown were the big guns in our pool. Our Kavanagh kids beat Lawrence 13-9, narrowly losing to Arrowtown 7-3 and Tahuna 11-7. Both those teams went on to make semi finals and finals for the day, which showed we were definitely in the tougher pool and our students were not far off from making the top four. Couldn't be any prouder of our students.
Our Kavanagh Rippa team finishing 7th overall in the Otago Regional Finals was something our students and Kavanagh community should be proud of. Well done to all our students who competed and thank you to all the families who were able to come out and support during the day.
