Year 12 participated in a Road Safety Education programme last week

They had a full day of workshops to help develop their understanding of road safety as they begin to learn to drive.

We were very proud of the feedback that was sent to us after this event last Friday

Your students were a credit to your school both in their behaviour and the manner in which they engaged with the presenters and our volunteers. We were impressed with their attentiveness, and trust that our potentially life-saving messages will stand them in good stead for the future.

Many thanks to Ross MacKinnon one of our guidance counsellors who went through the preparatory work with the students before the day. During the day down at the Town Hall, they completed activities around distractions, stopping distances at various speeds, and driver fatigue to name a few. There are a number of resources on their page that you can access to discuss with your child.

If as a parent, you had a child come home and discuss with you what they had experienced, RYDA would appreciate you filling out a survey. You can also fill this out if your child wasn't involved.
