Introducing...Ōtepoti Secondary Improv Club

By Erica Ward | Posted: Monday March 27, 2023

Ōtepoti Secondary Improv Club haas been created by local secondary Drama teachers to provide secondary schools in Ōtepoti Dunedin with an extra-curricular improvised theatre session for students.

The aim is to deliver a fun, hour long, weekly session of games and scene work for separate junior and senior groups in a neutral space in central Dunedin at an after-school time. We also hope to explore the opportunity to have TheatreSports competitions.

If you are interested in writing, directing or acting - Improvisation helps to develop all three aspects. Join Ōtepoti Secondary Improv Club for a weekly dose of creative fun with students from around Dunedin. Learn skills, level up for Theatre Sports, meet like minded individuals. These sessions will be instructed by professional improvisor Dan Allan and will be supported by Dunedin Drama teachers.

The group will meet every Monday of Term 2.

Juniors 3.30-4.30

Seniors 4.30-5.30

Commencing 24th April

$30 per term payable at the first session.

If you are interested but also involved in Musical please get in touch too so we can discuss how you could be involved in both activities. Spaces are limited per school.
