Howdy, Howdy, Howdy!

Today we are bringing in a new challenge for the rest of the year. In each reflection there will be something or things hidden in the text. And each week has a new theme. If you think you've found it, email one of us-

And if you are first in and correct, you will get a prize.

Reflection:

So about three weeks ago, we as Catholic Christians celebrated the most important event in our Church’s calendar - Easter! The season of Lent lasted for 40 days, but for the season of Easter it lasts for 50 days ending on the feast of Pentecost. This is an indication that we should always have more moments of celebration to give praise to God for his love for us and reflect on the blessings we have been gifted rather than being in a state of penance.

We as Christians believe that God came to earth in a fully human form. He taught us how to fulfill the will of God. He suffered, died and actually rose from the dead.

Our challenge is to journey towards Jesus and if need be, roll away any obstacles that stop us from getting to him. We do this best by prayerfully supporting and encouraging one another and reflecting on the people who sacrificed so much to ensure that this faith was passed down to us throughout the generations for over 2000 years. Eventually reaching us, in 2023.

Holy One, when Christ ascended into heaven
to reign with you in power and glory,
you sent the Spirit of truth to guide us
into the way, the truth, and the life of Christ.
Let your Spirit, our Advocate, guide us still
preserving us from judgment,
protecting us from sin,
and leading us into righteousness,
so that we may testify to the good news:
fullness of life and joy for all;
through Jesus Christ our Savior
and in the unity of the Holy Spirit
