A range of History topics are studied as the following basic skills are learned and put into practice:

- Information Processing
- Presentation of Information
- Critical Thinking
- Analysis of Information
Topics:
- the Creation of the state of Israel.
- The Musket Wars.
- The My Lai Massacre.
- Events of significance such as:The Mai movement, The Stonewall Riots, The Cambodian Genocide, The Easter Rising, The Imperial Trans-Antartic Expedition, The Stolen Generation,The New Zealand Sufferage Movement, Titokouaru's War, Chinese Migration to Otago.

AS 91437 - Analyse different perspectives on a contested event of significance to New Zealanders 5 credits
