St Gabriel's College at Trinity

Over the past 3 weeks, Trinity has been happy to host 10 students from St Gabriel's College, Bangkok. They had a great time with us in class and exploring Otago.

Our visitors were buddied with Year 10-13 students in daily classes and also were welcomed into Trinity homestays to gain a real New Zealand experience.

Tull, Chopin, Q, Tae, Tac, Drift, Tigger, Zac, Gent and Win, plus their Teacher Chakarin thoroughly appreciated the warmth of their welcome; thanks Trinity!

This was a fantastic opportunity for both sides to expand their cultural understanding and learn about the world. The St Gabriel's students saw penguins at Ōamaru, watched the Otago Nuggets, visited Larnach Castle and Otago University, as well as jetboating, zip-lining and seeing kiwis in Queenstown. These were experiences of a lifetime.

The International Department would also like to especially thank the staff who created extra classes for our visitors: Ms Lewis and Mrs Hughes in Food Tech, Mr Earl in Hard Materials, Mr Harris in PE and Mr Martyn in Te Reo Māori.
