There’s around 100 students involved with the musical in the cast, tech crew, and band from Year 7s right through to Year 13s.

It’s this opportunity to work alongside students from all year levels and form new friendships that a lot of students enjoy so much about the musical and what brings them back year after year.

“I like that the musical provides an opportunity for students from all year levels to form friendships.” (Jeremy Meikle, Year 13)

“What I really enjoy about rehearsals is the people - it’s so awesome to spend time together as a cast. I’ve really enjoyed learning the dances together and seeing everyone have a good time!” (Charlotte Harris, Year 13)

“I have been a part of the musicals every year I have been at Trinity. What draws me to keep coming back and performing with the school is the relationships I form with students from each year level. A family is built within the cast, and it makes the rehearsals extra special being able to work with students I wouldn't normally work with.” (Meadow Stewart, Year 12)

Joseph’s 11 brothers are important and central characters in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Although they generally act as a group, they each have their own personalities. The students playing these roles are enjoying exploring their brother’s individual characteristics while also working together to learn their songs and dances.

Heath Kettish (Year 10) plays Zebulun, Jacob’s tenth son. Like his brothers, Zebulun is very jealous of Joseph. Heath is really excited to have this role and to recreate this character on stage. Liam Davis (Year 10) plays another of the brothers, Judah. Liam describes Judah as confident, cheeky, and a bit of a troublemaker. Liam loves how “the brothers sing together in harmony and are all close and united apart from the one brother we hate, Joseph, who is Jacob's favourite”.

The performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will take place 21-24 May 2024. Keep an eye out each week for more information about the show.
