OMAthalon 2022

First the first time in a couple of years the Otago Math Association hosted the junior OMAthalon at the Edgar Centre on Thursday 25th August.
This is a fun competition involving math expertise and athleticism. We had eight teams compete across Years 7 to 10. Our highest performing teams were the Year 9 team of Akein Wickramagedara, Henry Le, Joseph Kelly, Tom La Hood who were place third and our Year 8 team of Liam and Ben Davis, Paddy Hickey, and Levi Simpson who were placed ninth equal. All teams represented our school superbly and can be proud of their efforts.
Also, to note was the expertise of Mr Daniel Kelly, as the main organiser of the event and Mr Mike Campbell, whose skill as MC ensured the event ran smoothly.
