Bags of Hope

This term, 9TILI, worked on a heart-warming project called Bags of Hope. This initiative connects school students with cancer patients by having us design artwork for hospital clothing bags. It was a really powerful way for us to support others, helping us learn empathy while providing practical comfort to people undergoing treatment.

We sketched our own vibrant, colourful designs onto paper to stick to the sturdy bags, making sure each one stood out beautifully. We also chose silly, bold fonts to add soft, supportive phrases like “Hope is stronger than fear” and “You matter” to boost a patients' day.

Our finished bags are now ready to be taken by Cancer Society Southern to the hospital to support local patients. Thanks to everyone's awesome artistic skills, the bags look incredible and are full of our favourite cartoon characters. We had so much fun making them, and it feels great knowing our work will put a smile on the patients' faces when they need it most.
