History Quiz

On the 12th June, Trinity students Dylan Stephen, Stanislav Cherkun, Ryan Webb, and Matai Young competed in the annual History Quiz at the Otago Golf Club. The nine rounds had questions about general knowledge, New Zealand history, matching songs to events, and naming famous faces.

The team excelled in the naval history round, scoring a perfect ten out of ten score, which put us in second place close to the end of the quiz. Sadly, we lost the tie-breaker for second place, landing us in third place. Our third-place finish won the team a book each and twenty-dollar vouchers to be spent at the University Book Store.

I found the history quiz to be a fun and exciting experience with a good level of competitiveness. I particularly enjoyed the social aspect of it and being able to hang out with my classmates outside of a school environment. I will definitely be doing it again next year and I wish to see other Trinity teams enter in the event!
