A Reflection: Year 12 Special Character Leaders

A reading from the book of Deuteronomy 30:10-14
"If you truly listen to the voice of the Lord your God and faithfully keep His commandments and statutes, which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, then know this:
This commandment that I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it beyond your reach. It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, 'Who will ascend to heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, so that we may obey it?'
Nor is it across the sea, so that you have to ask, 'Who will cross the sea to get it for us and proclaim it, so that we may obey it?'
No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and your heart, so that you can obey it."
Reflection entering term three
As we kick off the new school term, it’s a great time to reset, refocus, and get into a solid routine. With exam season just around the corner, staying organised and using our time wisely is more important than ever. It might feel a bit full-on at times, but this part of the year is where all the hard work starts to pay off. It’s also a chance to set some personal goals, whether that’s improving in a subject, managing time better, or just showing up with a positive attitude each day. Remember, we’re all in the same boat, and supporting each other makes a big difference.
Prayer
Lord, we pray that all students have the strength to approach their work with a positive and committed attitude. May they be filled with patience, compassion and understanding.
We send our love and gratitude to all staff members and whanau who dedicate so much of their time to guiding our growth and wellbeing.
We ask for your peace to fill our hearts and minds as we engage in our schoolwork. Help us to focus on our tasks, free from distractions.
Help us to show kindness and empathy to one another, especially in moments of stress or difficulty. May we listen, be patient, and always be generous in our thoughts and actions.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let’s make the most of this term, stay motivated, and finish the year strong.
