After an action-packed semester of sport and fitness, our Year 7/8 Performance Sport students finished on a high with a challenging team fitness race.

What a way to finish the semester! Our Year 7/8 Performance Sport class wrapped up the term with an exciting team fitness race that challenged students to work together, communicate, and push themselves to the finish.

Competing in teams of three or four, students completed a shared 1000m row, block run, 1000m bike, and a final run, combining fitness with teamwork and strategy. Congratulations to Sammy, Sylvia, and Amber, who recorded the fastest time of the day, crossing the finish line in an impressive time of just over 12 minutes.

The fitness challenge was the perfect way to finish what has been an outstanding semester. Throughout Term One and Term Two, students have worked through units in volleyball, basketball, and touch before taking on a demanding fitness unit to round out the programme.

One of the highlights of the semester has been the enthusiasm students have brought to every lesson. Their energy, positive attitudes, and willingness to get involved in every activity have created a fantastic learning environment. It has been rewarding to watch students grow not only as athletes, but also as teammates - encouraging one another, embracing challenges, and celebrating each other's successes.

Well done to all of our Year 7/8 Performance Sport students on a fantastic option class. We look forward to seeing their continued growth and enthusiasm as they progress through their more senior PE years.
