If you have any questions regarding the apps your child uses, or the games they play, our safety hub is a good place to begin your research. This article has scenarios related to online bullying for parents to seek advice from.

We are here to support you and we usually encourage you to contact Netsafe to report any incidents, particularly those that occur outside of school. We would be naive to believe that there are not incidents of bullying within the school but we aim to be responsive and supportive to help you navigate this with your child. All students have had a dedicated forum in recent times to listen to our school values and how these values should be lived in their online world, as much as in 'real life'. They have a copy of the digital agreement and how it links to our values of Respect, Service, Justice and Truth.

The removal of cellphones at school has certainly helped the school environment, but unfortunately, young people can't escape bullying out of school hours because so much of it is seen at the end of their arm on their phone. This where a partnership is required between school and home to support our young people and that may mean boundaries at home as well around cellphone use with respect to the 138 hours spent out of school, and family discussions that support the gospel values that we are also proclaiming during the 30 hours they spend at school.
