Adaptive Sports Football Tournament

On Wednesday the 1st of July Owen Hope, Krystal-Lee Boyd and Edward Ritchie went out for the annual Adaptive Sports football tournament.

Trinity was in a mixed school team with OGHS and another homeschool student. It was a very chilly start in the Edgar Centre, so before the games started we had a much needed warm up skills session.

First up we played Sara Cohen and won the game, thanks to a few handy goals by Owen!

After our lunch break we played KVC and won that game as well. So exciting!

The other schools competing there were Sara Cohen, Taieri College, Logan Park and OGHS.

Trinity’s team ended the day finishing first place in division 2!!

We were lucky enough to have two students from OBHS who were referees, and a great group of OGHS students helping out throughout the day.

We had a great day out playing football and catching up with friends all while showing determination, great sportsmanship and living by our school values throughout. After the tournament we went somewhere for a celebratory treat on the way back to school.

Thanks to all involved, we can't wait for the next tournament!
