Beijing Acrobatic & Cultural Troupe Performance

The Chinese community is an important part of Dunedin and has played a significant role in promoting cultural diversity and integration. We are delighted to inform you that on 11th November 2024, a top-tier performing arts troupe from Beijing, China, will be visiting Dunedin to present a spectacular public performance. Tickets are only from $15.99 to $19.99, because all proceeds will go towards supporting this performance and other charitable causes.

The performance will be incredibly diverse, featuring mesmerizing magic and breathtaking acrobatics — acts that have won awards on international stages. In addition, there will be traditional Chinese opera (including the visually stunning Peking Opera and the ancient Kunqu Opera), as well as performances of folk music and dance, offering a rich showcase of Chinese culture. This cultural feast is a rare opportunity for Dunedin. The last time a similar troupe visited Dunedin was in 2019. It truly is an exceptional opportunity for children to experience Chinese culture firsthand, while also helping them develop a broader global perspective.
