An Invitation to Assist Anniversary Celebrations

The big 150th anniversary is only 46 days away!!

If you haven't seen the info on events for this please take a look at the school website here - And why not register while you're there!

PROMOTION

  • A post with the link to register is pinned on our school Facebook page, please share the event on Facebook with anyone you think might be interested.

  • Posters have gone out to parishes. If anyone is able to deliver posters to places to help get the information around the community please collect some posters which are available in our school staffroom.

  • A sign with a QR code will be (re)installed at the top corner of the school, by the Science block.

  • A link to register will continue to be in our school newsletter.


Outline of the weekend:

Friday 16 October

6pm - 9pm: Official welcome at Trinity Catholic College, followed by a social evening with finger food and refreshments. Michelle Branford is overseeing this event.


Saturday 17 October

Back at Trinity, another chance to catch up; opportunities for year group and previous school photos, check out the memorabilia, have a tour of the Trinity Campus, be entertained with a special celebrity event, or enjoy an afternoon tea for those who prefer a quieter time to chat.


Saturday night is over to whatever people would like to do - may be the ideal time for previous schools’ ex-student associations to organise a get-together.

Sunday 18 October

Mass at Mercy Parish (St Patrick’s Basilica, Macandrew Road), celebrated by Bishop Michael Dooley, followed by morning tea.

SUPPORT

We are looking for some people who are keen/available to support the weekend by way of organising or helping out with parts.


Currently we are looking for:

  • A photographer for the Friday evening and Sunday Mass. Could be the same person or different. Someone to ‘roam’ over the time of these events.


  • Someone/a group to organise and run the morning tea on the Sunday following Mass.
