Ariki Cup Cross County

On Tuesday 20 runners from Year 7&8 competed in the Ariki Cup Cross County at Kettle Park. 

In wet, challenging conditions and surrounded by very good competition, our runners competed very well indeed.

In the Year 8 Boys, Eamon Henderson lead the way with a very strong 4th place finish and Paul Bertoli put in a great run finishing 5th.

Our Year 7 Boys had some great placings with Sully Haig grabbing 5th spot and Charlie Sutherland , Pepe Sharma and Thomas Crawford all finishing in the top ten.

In the girls race both Sammy Cotter (yr7) and Naomi Pushenko (yr8) finished 14th in two very competitive fields. A great race girls, brilliant.

A big congratulations to all runners who gave it heaps and represented themselves and the school in top class fashion. This hard work resulted in a 3rd place finish in the overall combined teams award. Well done! Thanks too for all the parent support on the day.
