Otago Basketball Representation

Congratulations to Sienna Sainsbury and Londen Louw-Young, who, as part of the U14A Girls Basketball Otago team, won the Preseason Tournament in Gore during the weekend.

The final was between Eastern (Gore) and Otago, with Otago having narrowly lost to Eastern in their first game that morning. The final was incredibly close, and with Eastern leading throughout, it looked like a repeat of the earlier match. Otago stepped it up a notch in the last quarter, and threw in a few set plays which took them to the lead in the last minute of the game, which they secured with a foal shot and a goal in the last 10 seconds.
