Year 12 Social Justice Retreat

On Thursday 8th May the Year 12 students gathered for their overnight Social Justice Retreat. The focus of this retreat was the needs in our community and identifying ways in which we are called to care for others. We were also focussed on building our faith community and making authentic connections within year 12. The year 12s spent the night at school and we were still engaged in activities into the early hours of Friday morning. We finished our retreat with a Mass led by Father Hook. This group of Year 12 students were amazing in all ways over the retreat.

Many thanks to Jo Bell from St Vincent de Paul and Mel McNatty from Catholic Social Services for coming in and sharing their experiences with our students. Also to Father Hook. Matua Moananu, Jean Allibone and Naomi Tupai for staying the night with this wonderful group of young people.
