Paddleboarding in Outdoor Education

On Wednesday 13 Outdoor Education headed to Macandrew Bay for a Paddleboarding adventure.

On Wednesday, our Year 13 Outdoor Education class had the opportunity to take part in a stand-up paddleboarding session at Macandrew Bay, guided by instructor Bex Finch. It was the perfect day to get out on the water and challenge ourselves in a new environment.

The session was filled with energy, laughter, and a solid sense of adventure. Many students were stepping onto a paddleboard for the first time, and the challenge of balancing, standing, and controlling the board required focus, persistence, and resilience. With Bex’s guidance, students developed confidence, learning about effective paddling technique, balance, turning, and safe movement on the water.

Overall, it was a great afternoon reinforcing important Outdoor Education values such as perseverance, confidence, teamwork, and appreciation for the natural environment.

A big thank you to Bex Finch for providing an engaging session, and to all students for their willingness to get involved and make the most of the opportunity.
