St. Patrick - The Carpenter and Protector

By Special Character Prefects | Posted: Wednesday March 18, 2026

St. Patrick’s life is a beautiful reminder that our hardest moments can become our greatest strengths. He teaches us that true courage isn't just about being brave in a storm, it’s about having the grace to forgive and the resilience to turn a place of pain into a place of purpose. This March, let's follow his lead by looking for ways to bring light to the places that need it most.

As a carpenter and a protector, Saint Joseph taught us that there is immense dignity in hard work and in simply "being there" for the people we love. His life reminds us that you don’t need to shout to be heard, and you don’t need to be famous to be a hero. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is show up every day with a kind heart and a steady hand.

Whether we are facing a big new challenge like Patrick or just trying to be a good friend and hard worker like Saint Joseph, These two Saints show us that the best way to lead is by serving others.

Speaking of serving others, the commerce students had amazing success with the Saint Patrick's night market that included a number of different stalls, from refreshing ice cold beverages to hot delicious food! And a showcase with several amazing performances!
Massive thank you to Mrs Armstrong and her hard working students for delivering an incredible night full of fun and delicious treats.

Closing Prayer

Lord, give us the brave spirit of St. Patrick to follow our calling, and the quiet heart of St. Joseph to serve those around us. Teach us that our smallest acts of faith can make a world of difference.
Amen.

Joshua 1:9
"Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
