Introducing New Staff at Trinity Catholic College

Kia ora!  My name is Justine Solomon and I am excited and feel blessed for the warm welcome I received and to be part of the Trinity whānau.  I am looking forward to getting to know the students better as I work alongside the great staff here at Trinity.  My husband and I moved from Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) to Ōtepoti 11 years ago to follow our two oldest children who were at Otago University.  Now (11 years later), we have 9 beautiful mokopuna who are our most precious taonga, so our lives have certainly changed a lot.

My most recent role prior to coming to Trinity was at South Port in Bluff, however I am enjoying the move back to Ōtepoti and being close to our mokopuna. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active, baking (when I have time) and spending time with my whānau, who keep me on my toes!

Science Technician

Hello, I am the new Science Technician for Trinity.  I come from working in a Microbiology lab most recently but have also worked in the food industry as a Food Scientist and a Dietitian.  I have really enjoyed my first few weeks at Trinity and found everyone to be very welcoming.  Science is so fascinating and it is pretty special to see how the students react when a teacher sets a hydrogen balloon on fire! (From a safe distance with Safety gear on of course!)  

I moved to NZ from Australia in 2005 - planning on staying for 2 ski seasons but 20 years later, I find myself living in sunny Dunedin and loving it.  In my spare time, I love keeping active, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
