Year 10 Economics Market Day

The market day provided students with a hands-on experience in the business world.

They were tasked with devising a product, determining its cost, setting a competitive price, and calculating potential profits. These practical lessons equipped them with real-world skills extending beyond the classroom.

To ensure the success of their ventures, each business team embarked on an intensive marketing and advertising campaign.

Laughter echoed through the school grounds as students lined up to take their best shot at drenching their teachers. Other stalls sold burgers, candyfloss, fudge, candles, cupcakes, BBQ sausages, spiders, ice creams, mocktails, popcorn, pasta, drinks, and sherbert.

The success of the event extended beyond financial gains. All participants left the event feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. The students learned valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, teamwork, and responsibility. The spirit of generosity is present, and the students are eager to give back to the community, as they prepare to vote for their chosen charity early next week.
