RockQuest 2025 - Regional Heats

Congratulations to all the Trinity students who participated in RockQuest last weekend.

On the afternoon of Saturday 10 May, an appreciative audience was treated to a wide-range of musical performances from a number of different local high school musicians. Trinity had students in four entries in the solo/duo category and five in the band section.

Everyone gave their performance their all and it was amazing to see so much talent and creativity on display from our rangatahi. All songs presented at RockQuest must be original compositions written by one or more members of the group which makes this competition all the more incredible.

RockQuest is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform for a live audience - and it was clear that they were certainly making the most of this experience.

The Trinity performers all did a fantastic job - and special mention to The Late News (Ché McGivern, Joseph Kelly, Harry Lodge, Akein Wickramagedara) who made it through to the Regional Finals (which will take place on 28 June) and also to Rishi Shantapriyan who was part of the band Eris (along with students from Taieri College and Columba College) who will also be playing in the finals.

Huge thanks to Ms Watts for all her support, encouragement, and musical expertise in helping and inspiring these groups in their preparation for RockQuest.
