Debating News for 2026

Debating practice starts up again on Friday, the 13th of February, in the Lecture Theatre from 3-4:30 pm. Students from Year 7-13 can come to practices and learn the skills of debating. Tim Lapham, alumni and coach, will be leading these.

Senior Debating Open Night (Year 11-13) is on  Wednesday, the 18th of Feb at Columba College, 4 - 6 pm. This is a fun night for both new and old students in debating. If you are unsure if you want to join the senior debating competition, this is a good intro to help you decide. Please email me (Ms McGarry) at mmcgarry@trinity.school.nz if you want to go.

Debating Regionals are on the 14th and 15th of March. If you have any questions about this event or want to compete, please email me.
