Year 13 Outdoor Education Frisbee Golf

Our new Year 13 Outdoor Education class has kicked off in the last few weeks.

While paddleboarding and surfing were postponed due to weather, students made the most of the session this week by heading to Chingford Park for some frisbee golf.

Chingford Park has a rich history as an outdoor recreation space in Dunedin, originally part of a farm owned by early settler William Valpy in the 1800s before being gifted for public use. Today, it’s a popular venue for walking, sport, and outdoor learning.

Frisbee golf is a perfect fit for our Outdoor Education programme. It encourages some strategic thinking and resilience, while demanding teamwork and engagement with the natural environment.

Students had a blast navigating the course, learning new skills, and supporting each other.

We can’t wait to get our water-based activities underway next week - weather permitting!

Check out the action and stay tuned for more Outdoor Education adventures!
