By Ravija and Cole | Posted: Tuesday June 20, 2023

Hey Trinity, welcome back to week 9 of the newsletter!!

We are almost at the end of Term 2 and the Year 13’s have some exciting things planned and organised by head students, Cole, Jemma and Ravija. Next week the Year 13’s will be doing a Caritas Challenge, this challenge requires them to sleep in cardboard boxes overnight at school. We will do this to be in solidarity with those who have to live this reality everyday.

In recent years, the people of Fiji, much like those in New Zealand, have faced significant hardships. The challenges posed by COVID-19, coupled with the destructive effects of severe weather conditions, particularly tropical cyclones, have made life extremely difficult. The people of Fiji have endured significant hardships, including the profound loss of cherished possessions such as loved ones, employment opportunities, livelihoods, and homes. Unsurprisingly, these formidable challenges have taken a toll on the mental well-being of many Fijians. Here is a link to learn more about the challenges the residents of Fiji have to face,

“Lord, give us the wisdom of mind and generosity of heart to seek your will in the world today. Inspire us to respond to the call to live in solidarity with impoverished countries of the world, so that all children of God might live in dignity and peace. Amen”
