A pop culture trip down memory lane, “Back to the 80’s” tells the story of Corey Palmer and his senior year of high school: his best friends, the class bully, and the girl he loves.
The show’s jukebox score includes a wide variety of popular 80s hits such as “Video Killed the Radio Star”, “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, “Love Shack”, “Footloose”, and “The Time of My Life” - and is guaranteed to have the audience tapping their feet and singing along.
The show doesn’t just include all the students on stage, but also students in the tech and backstage crew, musicians in the band, and some senior students helping with hair and makeup (which will be a huge job this year given the huge hair of the 80s!).
There are four performances of “Back to the 80s”, Monday 16 June through to Thursday 19 June, at 6.30pm in the Trinity Catholic College Auditorium. Tickets are available at: www.theatretickets.co.nz/shows/trinity
