Celebrating our Amazing Ākonga

Each and every day we are given so many reasons to celebrate our wonderful students here at Trinity. Many of these reasons occur during the school day, and often amazing things are being achieved outside the gates of school where our ākonga are committing hours of their own time to extra study, sport and recreational activities, and cultural and service initiatives in the community. Below are just a handful of the achievements we are celebrating this week!

Student Exchange in China
Year 10 students Ollie Cummings, Katia Walker and Isla Bell - recently attended a student exchange in China. Watch out for their report on their experiences while away in next week's newsletter.
Scholarship Recipients
Megumi Toh is the 2025 Top Subject Scholar for Japanese in NZ (Scholarship Japanese 2025) - achieved as a year 12 student. She is one of only 38 Top Subject Scholars nationwide and will be presented with this exceptional award at Parliament in April.
Holly Waterworth (Year 13 2025) received a Scholarship in Art-Printmaking. Her folio has been selected for the Top Art Exhibition which will travel around New Zealand to inspire young secondary school artists.
