Last year Trinity Catholic College entered the OSTAs (Otago Southland Theatre Awards) for the first time with our musical The Addams Family.

When the nominations were announced in December, we were thrilled to receive four:

Best Cameo Performance – Christopher Caulton (Lurch)

Best Supporting Male in a Musical – Samuel Kelly (Uncle Fester)

Best Leading Female in a Musical – Anamika Jones (Morticia)

Best Youth Production

Also, Trinity student Joseph Kelly was also nominated for Best Supporting Male in a Musical for his role as Prince Hans in Taieri Musical’s production of Frozen Jr.

Although Trinity didn’t win any of these categories at the awards last weekend, we’re still very proud of our students and the production for being nominated alongside some stunning talent and shows throughout the region.

Additionally,at the OSTAs, Year 12 Trinity student Anamika Jones was announced the winner of the Upcoming Talent Scholarship to assist her ongoing development in the area of musical theatre.

Huge congratulations to Anamika who is a very deserving recipient of this award and we look forward to seeing future performances from this up and coming star.
