Transport Assistance Allowance - Are you eligible?
Because Trinity is a Catholic State-Integrated school, through the Integration Act our students are entitled to attend our school and receive a transport allowance if:
they are attending the closest Catholic school for their year level (e.g. please note that in years 7&8 Trinity may not be the closest option for you eg St Joseph's in Balclutha is a full primary which is a closer option for our students from Milton, therefore the allowance cannot be claimed); For year 9-13 students our 'zone of eligibility' is half way to Ōamaru (St Kevin's) and half way to Gore (St Peter's)
you live more than 3.2 km (year 7&8) or 4.8 km (year 9-13) from Trinity; and
there is no public or Ministry funded transport available; or you need to travel more than 2.4km to the nearest public bus.
If this is your situation, please use the following link School Transport Assistance information for parents and caregivers to check your eligibility and begin an application.
