Strong ICAS and Maths Results achieved by Trinity Students

ICAS
This year saw a record number of students from Trinity (70 entries across 45 students) taking part in the annual ICAS competition. Each subject area has a range of interesting and challenging questions designed to make students think hard. To get an award of any kind is a real achievement considering the large number of students who compete in ICAS in New Zealand and overseas. The awards criteria are as follows:
Top 1 % = High Distinction
Next 10% = Distinction
Next 25% = Credit
Next 10% = Merit

New Zealand Senior Mathematics Competition
This year saw the Le brothers (Louis in Year 13, and Henry in Year 12) compete in the New Zealand Senior Mathematics competition in the team section. There were several hundred entries from around the country, and the dynamic duo from Trinity placed in the Top 20; a strong result!
