Cook Islands Language Week

KIA ORANA!

This week is Cook Islands Language Week and students of Cooks Islands descent with members of our Tangata Moana cultural group, along with some students of the Te Kāika Moana pastoral class, were part of a drumming and dance presentation/workshop with Turama i te Ara, Cook Islands Performing Arts Group.

Turama i te Ara is a local Dunedin group who perform for many types of functions but also promote the vibrancy of their Cook Islands culture.

The students had lots of fun learning and engaging with the activities.
