BOYS CRICKET

On Tuesday the Boys Yr 7&8 cricket team ventured out to Mosgiel to compete in their first match of the season against Taieri College.

Batting first, Taieri were restricted to 125 off their 20 overs with Luke Haggart bowling well at the top, Jimmy MacKenzie proving economical through the middle and Jack McKenzie snaring two wickets and going very close to a hat trick.

Thanks to a very classey 35 retired from Thomas McEntyre, Trinity got off to a great start. We never looked back as Jack and Joe Burke showed patience through the middle and Jimmy MacKenzie carried his bat to see us home in the 19th over. This is a great bunch of cricketers and I must commend the whole squad for their efforts yesterday.

Congratulations.
