Trinity Poets Take Centre Stage

What better way to celebrate National Poetry Day than listening to a room full of young poets sharing their work. Agna Shobin and Janudi Ganganatha were among 35 placegetters invited to present at the 2026 Ōtepoti Dunedin Youth Poetry Competition Prizegiving last Friday. Both students read with confidence and poise, and the 100 strong audience enjoyed their thoughtful pieces. Their poems caught the attention of judges amongst a competitive field of over 160 entries. Agna was placed second in the Year 11-12 section for her poem 'The things we return' and Janudi was placed third in the Year 7 section with her poem 'Hope'.
