2026 Mayoral Welcome at Puketeraki Marae

On 30 March, the Trinity International students joined others from all over the city at Puketeraki Marae for a formal welcome from Mana whenua and the Mayor's office.
Secondary students from 22 countries were welcomed in a powhiri with city councillors, representatives of Otago University, Otago Polytechnic, Study Dunedin and Education New Zealand.
This was a beautiful morning at Karitane and it was a great chance to make new friends and take photos together. Look out for an upcoming DunedinNZ International Education video starring some of our students too!
