Academic Tutoring & Resources

Term 3 is fast approaching, and for seniors, exams are in sight, this may be a time when extra help is needed in specific subjects to ensure you are confident in your abilities. Seeking academic support at all year levels is sometimes necessary and it can benefit you in many ways.
I am starting up tutor sessions here at school, where some of our senior students are tutoring younger students. However getting extra support from outside the school can be also be beneficial. It can offer a fresh start with someone new and may even give you a new perspective on things.
There are plenty of resources outside of school that offer tutoring for various age groups and subjects. For maths, there are many options, such as Kumon or NumberWorks’NWords. For private tutoring, Superprof.co.nz offers a wide range of tutors at any given level.
English tutoring is also provided by all three sources listed above, and many other online websites allow for choice when it comes to choosing tutors and timeslots.
Superprof.co.nz also provides science tutoring, and with a quick Google search, you will find over 5 different science tutoring programmes, dedicated to helping students with any questions, school work, or developing a more in-depth understanding.
There are also many keen university students willing to spend their time offering a helping hand for a variety of subjects, who are accessible through MyTuition.nz.
Academic success is important, and for many students, one way to further their success may be seeking guidance from another source. Happy learning :)
