Enviroweek (June 2025)
By Nina O'Callaghan | Posted: Wednesday May 21, 2025
Enviroweek is going to be in Week 6 (Tues 3rd - Friday 6th June), and this year we are focusing on ocean conservation. Here are some key things to note:
We will be welcoming a guest speaker on the Wednesday who will inspire us with real-world stories about their environmental work and its impact.
We’re also running a sustainable mufti day on the Thursday, so remember to wear clothes that are second-hand, recycled, or re-used. This is a great way to show that clothing can be eco-friendly and combat the fast fashion issue. On this day we are not asking you to bring a gold coin, as we want to raise awareness rather than money. If you would like to donate to the Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust you are welcome to bring a coin on this day or look out for our other fundraisers.
We will also be doing a clothing swap on the Thursday, so bring unwanted clothes that you can swap for something you will wear!
We're learning to sing the song 'Power in Us' by Anderson Rocio. Every stream of this song donates money to ocean conservation. You can also find it on Spotify.
