Filipino Spaghetti for Food Class

The Year 10 Food Technology class is currently learning about foods from different cultures around the world. They recently made ‘Filipino Spaghetti’ during a practical lesson. This dish is similar to ‘Spaghetti Bolognese’ but includes American hot dogs and is sweetened with banana ketchup, a sauce created in the Philippines during World War 2 to make the most out of a shortage of tomatoes and an abundance of bananas! The students were proud of their efforts and enjoyed a tasty dish.
