First XI finish the season undefeated!

On Tuesday night, Trinity's Hockey team faced Taieri College 2nd XI in the Div four Otago Hockey Secondary Schools competition final. This year, our team has been focused on team development and communication, as last year, our entire leadership team graduated. This lead to many of our younger players being new to the team.

Throughout this season, we have worked incredibly hard to keep our wins going with momentum, finishing with the big final. The game started rough with the score being 2-0 to Taieri at halftime. However, with some key words from Jeremy Meikle and Guin Wilson at the break and the watchful eye of Becky Eathorne and Michael Jago, we managed to turn it around in the last two quarters with Josh Elliotte scoring two goals and Leah Olsen one. We finished the game with a close win, 3-2.

The entire team worked super hard and it was a great way to end the competition.

Hopefully, we can take this momentum and enjoyment through to our secondary schools tournament which is taking place in Dunedin to wrap up the season. Congratulations to the entire team and a huge thank you to everyone that has been involved!
