Introducing New Staff at Trinity Catholic College
By Administration | Posted: Wednesday February 11, 2026
We are extremely fortunate to welcome a number of new staff to Trinity this year.
This week we continue to introduce our new staff members through our newsletter.
Sarah Cutler
Year 9 Teacher
Kia ora,
It’s really special to be back at Trinity College as a teacher, having been a student here a few years ago now!
Since finishing school, I’ve been lucky enough to teach in Auckland, South America and London, which have all been great experiences. Now, I’m very happy to be back in Dunedin, closer to family and friends.
This year, I’m teaching Year 9 and a couple of Year 7 PE classes, and I’m enjoying getting to know my students.
Outside of school, I enjoy keeping active, reading and spending time with friends and whānau. I’m looking forward to a great year and being part of Trinity life once again.

Charlie Davis
Groundskeeper
I recently moved back to my home town of Dunedin from Invercargill where I was the groundskeeper at Verdon College. For those who don't know, Invercargill is very flat so the hills and stairs at Trinity have taken some serious getting used to.
I came to groundskeeping after a long career as a barber and I really enjoy my work. I love gardening, working with plants and being outside. I especially enjoy working at schools as it adds an extra purpose to the job that you don't get anywhere else.

Mitchell Tinnock
PE and Maths Departments
Kia ora, my name is Mitchell Tinnock and I’m excited to be joining Trinity Catholic College this year.
I have the privilege of joining the talented PE and Mathematics departments where I will be teaching year 9 – 11 alongside a wonderful year 11 pastoral class. I grew up in Invercargill before moving to Dunedin to study at the University of Otago where I completed my Bachelor of Science majoring in Sport and Exercise Science and minoring in Statistics. This led me to completing my Master of Teaching last year. In my spare time, I’m a keen rugby player and in general love spending time outdoors whether that’s playing a round of golf, going for a hike or just getting stuck into something active.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first couple of weeks here at Trinity with all the staff and community being so welcoming. I’m really looking forward to the year ahead and getting to know the Trinity community even more.
