Students Shine at the Around The World Evening Market & Showcase

The Bodkin Yard came alive with the sights, sounds, and flavours of a vibrant market event led entirely by our senior Commerce students.
Over the past few weeks, the students have worked tirelessly to prepare a fantastic array of market stalls offering everything from delicious treats to handcrafted delights. Their effort, teamwork, and creativity are clearly on display—and it was all for a good cause—Caritas NZ to support those in need.
The event was made even more special by the behind-the-scenes support of staff and students, including our Year 10 Economics students who helped launch the evening. From set-up to pack-down, their contributions ensured everything ran smoothly.
Entertainment throughout the night was a true highlight. The audience was treated to fantastic performances by The Late News Band, our talented kapa haka group, and solo acts from Oliver Lodge (ex-student) and Anamika Jones, Rishi Shantapriyan, Yulia Wood, and Maddie Homan (ex-student). One of the most touching moments of the evening was the shared rendition of The Fields of Athenry, brought to life by the audience’s enthusiastic participation.
A special thanks goes to our brilliant Master of Ceremonies, Che, whose energy, humour, and showmanship kept the crowd engaged and the evening flowing effortlessly. Che truly was the ultimate entertainer!
To close the evening, Principal Mrs Kate Nicholson led the community in a final prayer, followed by a spirited performance of the Trinity school song — the perfect ending to a night filled with joy, talent, and community connection.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our students. We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s event!
