Snowfarm Adventure for Year 13 PE

By Ant Harris | Posted: Thursday August 28, 2025

The Year 13 PE class had a great time cross country skiing at the Snowfarm recently as part of their risk management assessment. The snow was in shorter supply this year as the snowfarm was having their third worst ski season since 1909!

But luckily there was enough snow to be able to ski around 15km of the trails. The students also snowshoed many kilometres and tubed over the three days, which they really enjoyed.

We were blessed with amazing weather and the environment and views are something very special. The warm fire going in the hut was a highlight again and the students enjoyed star gazing on the rock at night.

The students' attitudes were very positive and the trip was a big success because of this.

A big thank you to Naomi Tupai and Johnny De Graaf for coming away with us and for all their help.
