Junior Catholic Quad 2026

The Junior Catholic Schools Quad tournament was held on Wednesday June 3 in Dunedin. Schools From Verdon, St Kevin's, St Peters and Trinity all competed in Rugby, Futsal, Hockey, Netball and Basketball.

The weather was great for the Rugby and the hockey and some fine performances were seen. The Year 7/8 rugby team were unbeaten for the day and our under 15 boys won 1 game out of 3.

Down at the turf we had our Year 7/8 Hockey team winning 1 and drawing 1, and the year 9/10 team won one and lost one.

Out at the Edgar centre our netball teams had mixed results. The Year 10s won 2 out of 3 games, the Year 9s two out of 3, the Year 8 team also won 2 out of 3 games, and our Year 7 team had 3 close losses.

The Basketball was one way traffic for our Year 9/10 boys who won comfortably in all 3 games, and our girls also won all games. The Year 7/8 boys were also sucessful winning all games, and the 7/8 girls had some close losses. The futsal boys won 1 out of 3.

Thanks to all the staff and umpires/managers who helped make the tournament a success. We look forward to hosting again in 2027.
