Filipino students from Trinity College, Karl Dela Cerna, Louiz Lazaro, Sean Racazza, Zac Azarcon and Neone Lazaro proudly represented their communities and heritage at the prestigious NBTC (National Basketball Training Center) and Manila Live 2026 Basketball Tournaments in the Philippines. The events provided a platform for basketball athletes to showcase their skills on the bigger stage.

Their participation was an opportunity to reconnect with their Filipino roots, build friendships with fellow athletes, and gain valuable exposure to the highly competitive basketball culture in the Philippines. The team was able to experience first hand intesity and physicality of the games, describing the tournament as an important learning curve that contributed to their growth not only as an athlete but holistically as an individual.

The National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) continues to serve as one of the Philippines’ leading basketball development programs, while Manila Live has become a major international youth basketball event attracting teams from different countries and Filipino communities abroad.

Their journey serves as a reminder that talent, hard work, and cultural pride can bring communities together across borders, creating meaningful opportunities for growth, friendship, and achievement.
