Good luck to the nine students representing Trinity Catholic College and Otago this weekend at the National Shakespeare Festival in Wellington.
At the end of Term 1, a scene from Trinity Catholic College won the 5-minute student-directed section of the Otago Regional Shakespeare Festival. As a result, this group of students, together with Drama teacher Sophie Whibley, will be spending King’s Birthday Weekend in the capital immersed in all things Shakespeare.
In addition to presenting their scene and watching all the others from around the country, the students will also get the opportunity to take part in a number of drama-related workshops and no doubt have a little time to explore Wellington as well.
The scene that will be performed is from King Lear and has been directed by Esther Koudayah. The Trinity team is made up of:
Eden Webb
Ella Carruthers
Ellen Forbes
Ellie Sutherland
Esther Koudayah
Hollie Moloney
Mata Taua
Mitchell Atkinson
Ziva Curtis
We wish them all the very best for their performance.
