Changes coming to Orbus services

There are a range of changes coming to the Dunedin Orbus network from 1st October this year, including new services, updated timetables, frequency, and route changes including additional school-day services, and more electric buses.

The changes are designed to improve reliability, connections, and services for Dunedin passengers.

Major changes include:

• Route 70: Brighton – Green Island via Abbotsford

  Route 70 will be disestablished and replaced by two new routes including:

• A new Route 72 (Abbotsford loop).

On weekdays, this route will extend to the Dunedin Bus Hub via Kaikorai Valley Road, with two trips in the morning and three trips in the afternoon travelling past Kaikorai Valley College, and just a short walking distance from Otago Boys' High School, Otago Girls' High School and Trinity Catholic College (stops for these schools will be on Kaikorai Valley Road, Stuart Street and York Place).

This will replace Route 39.

If you travel by bus in Dunedin, make sure to check your route and timetable before travelling.
