NZ Secondary School Choir Selection

With great pride and excitement we announce the news that our wonderfully talented Camila Barns (Year 11) has been selected as a member of the prestigious New Zealand Secondary School Students' Choir. This selection is a wonderful reflection of Camila's incredible talent, dedication and passion for music and perfoming arts.

Here are some words from Camila herself;

I am incredibly excited to have been selected for the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir (NZSSC), Aotearoa’s national choir for secondary school students. I was selected from 223 auditionees, with only 56 places available, and received the news of my selection as an Alto 2 yesterday. The choir brings together passionate young singers from across the country to develop their musicianship, explore a diverse repertoire ranging from classical choral works to contemporary music and waiata, and perform together. Over the next two years, I'm hugely excited to partake in both national and international touring opportunities, sharing music with audiences in Aotearoa and overseas. I feel very fortunate to have been supported by the Trinity whānau!
