Netball Winners!

The Senior A netball team won the Secondary Senior Premier Title and the 9 Gold won Section 2 of the Year 9 competition.

The Junior A and Senior B teams were pipped in the final, but both teams played well and did not let their opponents win easily.

The Senior A netballers then began their South Island Netball Tournament. They played in B grade. The tournament was played in Dunedin and we were very grateful to St Brigid's to be able to use their school hall as a base during the week to eat, connect and reflect on our games.

They had four wins in their eight games. Their semi-final was particularly nail-biting, winning by 1 goal after being down by 4 goals at three quarter time! They were a very young team this year, the second youngest in the tournament. They had no year 13 players and only two Year 12 players. Molly Kirk and Paige Clark led them beautifully and this committed team fought hard for the whole tournament, learning a lot from their tournament experience. They are hungry to do well next year in Nelson.
