Weather Related Closures & Snow Day Interruptions

With the weather changing and an increased number of weather events across the country affecting schools, we want to get this process published for this year.

Please find the procedure we will follow should we awake to severe snow or ice conditions across the region, so that we are able to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Dunedin Secondary Schools have agreed to work alongside primary schools and kindergartens to consider pressure on families and staff should they decide to close or have a late start.

If a decision is made to close or have a late start we will publish this information on our website, send an email to caregivers and we will also put a post on facebook. This should typically be done by 7.00am.
